image of coverThe Anti-Racist Cookbook by Robin Parker and Pamela Smith Chambers (of the Beyond Diversity Resource Center), subtitled "A Recipe Guide for Conversations about Race that Goes Beyond Covered Dishes and 'Kum-Bah-Yah'".  Using the structure of a meal, the authors move the reader from appetizers, through soups and salads to main courses.  The main chapters are questions to help spur conversations between participants committed to engaging their own prejudices and listening to others.  Side chapters also share the authors experience in facilitating meaningful and productive conversations. The book is useful as a how-to to start a group of your own, or to begin dealing with these issues yourself.
