Scotch Plains/Fanwood, 21 July 2011 - Following up on a very successful Martin Luther King Day of Service program entitled "What's Race Got to Do with It?" (led by Robin Parker and Pamela Smith Chambes of the Beyond Diversity Resource Center), members of the Social Justice Matters steering committee completed a training course with the BDRC and have scheduled three opportunities to continue the conversation.  Participants at the January program were specifically invited, but all members of the community who are interested in discussing matters of race and are willing to start an open and safe dialogue are invited.  Sessions will be held on Wednesdays in the summer and fall, beginning at 7pm at The Chelsea in Fanwood.  The scheduled dates are July 27, September 14, and October 5, 2011.  If you are interested, or have any questions, please e-mail us at sjm@socialjusticematters.org.
