Juneteenth Freedom Award and Scholarship Banquet

Social Justice Matters, Inc. is proud to announce our first annual Freedom Awards and Scholarship Banquet. The Freedom Award recognizes and celebrates the achievements of individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in various fields and service to their community. In honor of Juneteenth, the Freedom Award has been an integral part of our celebration for the past several years. The Freedom Awards and Scholarship Banquet is significant to the fundraising efforts of Social Justice Matters, Inc. in that it supports our scholarship program aimed at providing financial assistance to scholars attending Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School and who are members of the Black Student Union. The purpose of this event is to honor and celebrate Juneteenth and uplift our community by acknowledging excellence and investing in future generations.
