A Sense of Place

ARRC’s first public program will be held at Shady Rest at Scotch Hills on Sunday, May 18 from 3-5pm. Free of charge and open to the public. Registration details will be posted shortly.

“A Sense of Place” will reveal hidden and little-known stories about where we live, focusing on both the rich heritage and traditions of our towns’ African-American communities, the harmonies and discords among neighbors of different races, and the institutional practices followed locally that mirrored our large society.

This program will be facilitated by Dr. Linda Caldwell Epps and Ms. Ethel Washington.
